Ingierstrand Bad Identity

Ingierstrand Bad Restaurant
After many years of negligence this unique architectural building has been renovated and renewed by the Norwegian state, since it holds a great historic value. The building stands as an extraordinary example of the functionalism. Ingierstrand Bad is a seaside restaurant with recreational facilities, primarily for swimming, beautifully situated by the Oslofiord. Fursetgruppen won the opportunity to run the restaurant. Ingierstrand Bad is a very accessible escape where one can experience arcithecture from the 1930s combined with modern style. Ingierstrand Bad has a new identitiy that combines the historical with the modern. Central to the theme in the identity is the circular shape, inspired by the shape of the sun and the circular shaped dancefloor. The letter S in the logo is inspired by the characteristic swandive, a charming detail. The use of original photographs from archives and stripes in the new identity underpins the maritime theme.
